When ordering a commission from me, you acknowledge you’ve read and understood my Terms of Service.
If there’s any part of this agreement you do not understand, do not hesitate to contact me and I will gladly elaborate.

I DISCLAIM ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES OR MISCONCEPTIONS THAT MAY OCCUR DUE TO THE FAILURE OF READING MY TERMS OF SERVICE.

I’m free to negotiate any part of my Terms of Service (With exception of the “What’s considered NSFW’ part)

General Information

The paying Paypal account must belong to someone of 18 year or older. You can order a commission by me if you’re younger, but it must happen through your parents or guardian’s Paypal – And with their knowledge and consent.

I will not sell NSFW/pornographic commissions to anyone below 18 years of age – Even with parents or guardian’s consent.
If your country/region states that you must be older than 18 (ex. 20) to obtain and buy pornographic material, you must be old enough according to your laws and regulations in order to buy a NSFW/pornographic commission from me – If your country/region states you don’t have to be older than 18 (ex. 16), you will still have to be 18 to buy NSFW/pornographic commissions from me.
Age of consent and age at which you can buy pornographic material is not always the same.
I define NSFW/pornographic commissions as: Any commission where sex toys, genitalia, female nipples or exposed buttocks are shown (Take a regular bikini such as THIS for characters over 18 and THIS for minors as an example of how much can be visible before I define it as pornographic, unless everything is ‘furred over’ and there’s no defined or implied genitalia as ex THIS picture) and there’s no sexual nature shown. Clear bulges, ‘camel-toes’ and nipples won’t be visible through the clothing. Kissing, cuddling and non-sexual touching is okay.

I have the right to ask for proof of your age if I have suspicion of you being underage and ordering a NSFW commission. This could be showing any type of official ID with your age visible (You should hide other sensitive information such as last name, photo, security number etc. Your name and birthday is the only thing I need) with a piece of paper next to it stating the PayPal E-mail you used to pay. It must be a physical piece of paper, not text written with Photoshop etc.
If you’re unable to provide me with proof, I have the right to cancel the commission and give you a full refund, however you will not receive the piece and it’ll instead be worked into an YCH.

I do not accept commissions from accounts that look abandoned, such as having no icon, not watching anyone and showing no clear activity and use.
This is to ensure that the person commissioning me is trustworthy and isn’t someone changing account every week to scam artists.

A visual reference must be given of your character unless otherwise discussed – Reference Sheets are preffered but just a clear, fullbody illustration can be accepted.

I reserve the right to refuse any orders for whatever reason – I will always try to elaborate why I did not accept your commission so we can possibly try to work around it and find a compromise, but even if it’s not a reason you see fit I do not have any obligation to complete it.

I reserve the right to cancel any commission at any times for any or no reason. A full refund will be given if I cancel the agreement. For more information and refund options if you chose to cancel the commission can be found further down the T.O.S. under Payment and Refund

I reserve the right to change any or all prices at any time without warning. This change will not affect already ordered commissions, but will affect any future commissions.

I reserve the right to change any information in my T.O.S. at any time without warning. Only the Rights and License part will have any effect on past commissions. If you’ve broken a term that was earlier accepted, I will contact your via PM to inform you about the new rules, and possibly work out a compromise if it’s needed.

Wills and Won’ts

I WILL DRAW:

  • Any animal/beast species (Both real life and mythological)
  • Anthro and feral
  • Mature and pornographic content
  • Any sex and gender, including herms
  • Pairings of any sexuality
  • Most fetishes (Some extreme fetishes might come with an extra fee)
  • Humans and humanoid characters in a very few, specific circumstances, such as chibilike emotes/stickers e.t.c. Please contact me to discuss further.

I WON’T DRAW

  • Minors (Any character under age of 18) in sexual situations.
    • I can however age that character up – Ex if you have a child character, I can draw them in an adult version
  • Licensed characters. Fx characters from offical games, movies e.t.c – Contact me for more information on what alternatives I can offer
  • Pieces including a character you don’t have permission to use, unless it’s as gift art to the owner and they accept gift art from others.
    • I will only draw pairings with your character and  of someone else’s OC if you have permission to ship those characters. I will fx not draw your OC together with someone else’s that havn’t agreed for that ship
    • If you want your character together with someone but you only have one OC, I can offer up one of my own, however it’ll still cost extra as if it was someone else’s character
  • Hate art, with the purpose of directing negativity toward a person, a group, an organization e.t.c.
  • In someone else’s style. I can change minor things about my own style if you don’t like it, but I will not agree to intentionally imitate another person’s style – They probably have commissions open too, and they deserve the work.

Rights and license

  • Commissions are a service – I still retain all rights to the artwork, even though it’s your character and idea.
  • You’re free to crop the images into icons, wallpapers e.t.c. but when re-uploading the full picture to any of your sites the watermark must remain uncropped and unedited.
  • The artwork is for personal use only and may not be used for any commercial purposes. If you wish to sell the artwork in any shape or form, or want to include it in a commercial project (Such as games, books covers, e.t.c.) please contact me and we can discuss a commercial license.
  • You’re allowed to put the artwork on physical products such as cups, T-shirt e.t.c. but only if this is for yourself and/or for a few friends. You are not allowed to sell these physical products.
  • I have the right to  post commissions as a part of my portfolio.
    • I also have the right to refuse to post it anywhere and only deliver it through private messages – In this case we will discuss whether you’re allowed to post it to your gallery.
    • You can always request anonymity if you don’t want others to know who ordered the commission.
    • You can also request the commission to be private and not posted anywhere, however this may result in a fee.
  • I have the right to sell the artwork as prints – I sell the artwork only and do not claim the characters or idea as mine.
    • I will always respect your wish if you do not wish me to sell the commissioned piece as print – Please let me know when you commission me.
    • Copyright is always stated on the piece, leaving no doubt the character belongs to you.
    • If you decide on a later time that you no longer want the commissioned piece to be up for sale, I will also take it down when you message me. However, different sites have different rules for when the artwork will be taken down, so allow a few days to pass.
    • I can’t do anything about pieces that have already been sold and sent to the customer. If you want to make sure your character doesn’t end up hanging on someone’s wall, make sue to let me know when you commission me.
  • By default I include commission pieces in my reward packs on Patreon (You can see what type of rewards I give my Patrons on the right sidebar here: https://www.patreon.com/shadoweyenoom ) – These rewards are shared only with my Patrons via a download link or as an attachment to a paid post. If you do not wish to have your piece included, please do let me know! There’s no extra fee associated with not having your piece included.

Working Procedure & Delivery

  • By default I offer one WIP of the sketch.
    • In this phase no extra fees will be applied if you want any changes – Please let me know about all the things you want changed as changes in later phases of the work might result in a fee.
      • If you want a complete make-over, such as a new pose where I need to re-sketch the piece from scratch, you give up all rights to the sketch, and I may rework it into an YCH or personal piece to earn back the extra time that I’m not getting paid for. Minor changes where I only need to edit part of the sketch, such as arm or leg re-position or expression changes will not result in this.
    • If I did not follow the instructions you gave me in the commission inquiry do tell me – If I clearly didn’t follow something you said, and didn’t make any comments as to why I couldn’t follow it, it’s because I’ve overseen some info or misunderstood it – I can most likely not change it later, so let me know right away.
  • If you want more WIPs than the default one (Ex: to check I get colors and markings right) please let me know.
  • If you want the picture to be a complete surprise and do not wish any WIPs, let me know when you commission me.
    • Do remember that if you chose this I will not edit pose e.t.c. on the finished piece if it wasn’t exactly how you wanted it.
  • Once I’ve completed the piece you will be provided with a preview to see if there’s any smaller color changes e.t.c. you want changed before I finish the picture completely.
  • When the commission is finished, you will get a full resolution, unwatermarked file as well as a smaller watermarked version
  • When two or more people buy a commission together I will only send a WIP to one person (Usually the one contacting me about the commission unless another representative have been chosen). It’s this person’s job to deliver the WIP to the other member(s) to hear if they want any changes. Miscommunication or mistakes because of poor or lacking communication between buyers is not my responsibility.
  • I don’t have a set time for when I’m done with the commission – I always try to work as quickly as I can, but things can get in the way. Taking a look at my queue can give you a good feeling of how many other things I have to work at in the moment. Most commissions however, take only from few days to two or three weeks, but might take up to two month depending on commission type.
    • The speed in which I can finish your commission also depend a lot on how quick you are at communicating with me. If you take days to respond, the commission will naturally take longer.
    • I always notice you if there’s going to be any delays.
    • If you’re curious how long I am with your commission, you can always look at my queue or send me a note if you want a W.I.P.
  • Please make sure to save the file to your own drive. I do not take responsibility for keeping the file – I might lose it!
    • If you lose the file, please let me know ASAP so I can send it again if I still have it on my PC. But accept it if I don’t.

Payment and refund

  • Payment will happen through Paypal – And the currency will be USD unless something else is discussed.
  • By default payment will happen through PayPal invoice for easier organizing on my end, but can be done through “Pay for goods or services” if you feel uncomfortable disclosing information such as address with me. DO NOT pay through “Friends and Family”.
    • Any personal information I may receive through the invoice process, such as name and address will never be used outside of shipping purposes, and will not be stored outside of PayPal’s system. Please consult PayPal’s Privacy Policy for further information about how they may use your information.
    • If you want to pay directly through Goods and Services to avoid giving this information, please let me know when you contact me about your commission.
  • I need 60% payment upfront before I begin working on the commission.
    • This does not apply for commission types: Simple Sketch, Colored Sketch, Detailed Sketch, Badges and Eye-Cons – These need to be paid full upfront.
    • When paying 60% upfront you’ll be receiving heavily watermarked W.I.P.s – If you want to avoid this you can pay full upfront.
    • You need to ask me upon ordering to pay the 60% first and 40% later. If you chose to pay full, then later change your mind I will not send the 40% back. Only pay full upfront if you’re certain.
  • If you chose to pay 60% you will be sent a full invoice, however the you’ll be enabled to only pay the 60% of it. This is so I won’t have to send two invoices, making things easier for both you and me.
  • Payment must be provided within 2 days of the invoice being sent unless we’ve discussed otherwise.
    • After 2 days a reminder will be sent – If the invoice continues going unpaid for 2 days after the reminder, your commission will be cancelled to create space for another customer.
    • If you have any trouble paying the invoice (Money problems that will be cleared soon, never receiving the invoice because of technical issues, e.t.c.) let me know so we can solve the problem smoothly.
  • I do not provide refunds for complete works.
  • If you request a refund during the working procedure I will only refund the part that I did not work for and you’ll be provided with the unfinished picture.
    • Ex: If you order a shaded picture and you request a refund at the flat colored state, you will only be paying for a flat colored picture and get the remaining money refunded.
    • If I have not started the commission you will be provided with a full refund.
    • I might provide full refunds for works I’ve started on, if you have a good reason and can elaborate. Things such as “I don’t want it anymore” or “I picked someone else to do it” are not good reasons. You should always be certain before ordering a commission.
    • Opening a dispute on PayPal to get your money refunded without talking to me first so we can find a compromise without getting PayPal involved will result in a blacklist and a beware.
  • ​If I can’t complete your commission because of personal reasons, you will be provided with a full refund and the unfinished picture.
    • If I can’t complete the picture because of harassment or disrespect from your side, you will be provided with a full refund but will not be receiving the unfinished picture and it will be reworked and sold as an YCH instead

Contact and Communication

  • All communication about the commission will be done through Private Messaging (Either through deviantART notes (SFW pieces only), Facebook IM (SFW pieces only), FurAffinity notes, Email or Skype/Discord/Telegram. Any message on my public front pages will be ignored and I will contact you privately instead.
  • I do not always respond to business messages during weekends. If it’s something urgent and crucial to get a quick reply, please include “Urgent” somewhere in the title and I will of course take a look right away. Otherwise, please wait for business days!
  • Please do allow up to 48 hours for a reply on business days – Sometimes I’m busy and aren’t able to come back to you right away
  • Even if you can see I’ve opened/read your note, do allow me up to 12 hours to respond as I sometimes open the note while on the go to see what it’s about and if it’s something I can respond to quickly.
  • Always feel free to send me a reminder if I’ve not responded within 48 hour to an unopened message or 12 hour to an opened message
  • I will let you know if I will be unavailable to communicate with in case I go to any cons/other events e.t.c.
  • I expect you will be open to communication if you commission me. If you do not respond to an unopened message within 7 days or an opened message within 3 days without being given any information that you’ll be unavaible, I will consider your commission On Hold and stop working on it. Work can be resumed when contact is initiated again.
    • When commissions are placed on hold, I will place my focus on other commissions, and the one on hold will be placed on the bottom of my queue to ensure good workflow for me, which can result in delays as to when you’ll receive the piece, not counting the days you didn’t respond. It will, however, still always be done before the  max 2 month deadline mentioned earlier. You can prevent this happening by maintaining good contact and inform me if you’re ever unavaible for a specific time period.
  • If you continuously avoid responding for 3 weeks straight and I’m unable to get in contact with you, I will consider your commission declined. If still in sketch phase, I will refund you the full amount and rework the piece into an YCH. If I’m done or close to done with the commission, I will send you the finished piece as if the job has been completed.
    • If you at a later point want something on your commission fixed (That wasn’t an obvious fault from my side), this will be handled on a case-by-case basis
